Otherwise, my settings are all high with Metal 'on', and the set up is as follows: With x-Plane weather set to replicate that of my local airport, I have had to lower the graphics settings to Medium levels when the ceiling was 1,000 feet to keep FPS reliably above 20.
Eye candy scenery and complex aircraft have no appeal for me, and would generate a problem with frame rate. I am using it to fly VFR in reasonable weather, in planes like Vflyte Air's Cherokee 140 or the resident C-172 in x-Plane. However, I hasten to add that my interests are simple. I am using an M1 Mac Mini in a 3 monitor+2 iPad system as shown in the photo, and am very satisfied with it. Does anyone have a Mac mini with X-Plane installed? Or any thoughts about FPS, graphics, etc? I was just wandering if the new Mac mini with the M1 chip was suitable for playing X-Plane 11.
